Gift Yourself New Collaborating Skills in 2021
We welcome entrepreneurs and business professionals in all levels of skill. Networking is vital to our bootcamp members and is apparent with the wide array of industries represented in our classes. We have individuals from lending, healthcare, insurance, direct sales, trades (roofers, HVAC, pest control, cleaning), building and repair companies, accounting finance, consulting, support services, veterans, sales, real estate, academia, IT technology, and safety and security.
“Consider this, every person you meet, is potentially best friends with your next largest client. We just have to find out who they are! Referrals spread business by word of mouth, so when their best friend (A.K.A., your dream client) needs advice, you can be the first name they hear.”
This fast-paced course goes over communication strategies and the four main aspects of relationship building: like, know, trust, and remember.
Bootcamp sessions are held once a week every week for three weeks. The location is Troy University in Chesapeake, Virginia. If a major holiday occurs on the date of meeting, the course will be postponed until the following week to not disrupt our growth networkers schedule. Classes are set to an agreed upon time that is decided prior to registration.
We encourage you to give your input on which day/time works best for you so that we may optimize future bootcamps meeting schedules. You are encouraged to ask any questions and email optimal date/times to Elizabeth@duncan-hawker.com
I know the pain from putting yourself out there and not having your efforts count. It is tiring, frustrating, and easy to give up. Networking, and here is a secret, does not come naturally to everyone. It is a skill that, unless you were born a miraculous networking prodigy, requires practice, patience, and a will to improve.
I will teach you to understand how to read the room to maximize the efficiency of your relationship building. There is value in properly distributing your time; to put it simply, are you playing it safe by networking only when you have familiar faces around, or are you doing your research ahead of time and targeting a group of people that you know will create a positive impact on your network?
In class, I talk about valuable skills including body language, networking etiquette, and how to become "their-guy" to increase referrals. Networking is not about taking, it is about giving. You are building a relationship that typically becomes mutually beneficial by expanding your sphere of influence as well as your new contact's.
Registration fee ($550) includes enrollment of one individual for the entirety of the course. (Ask about our corporate rate for multi-members, or tune-up option for returning guests.) Bootcamp includes one live networking event with your wingman, The Red Hawk. We will be putting your new skills to work and build your confidence in a safe environment.
We welcome individuals of all skill levels; levels commonly range from networking newbies to networking pros that want to freshen up their communication style.
